U16 A Shield All Ireland Championship Round 1

The first round of the championship Waterford vs Offaly took place on Sunday 16th of February in the Gold Coast resort.

Our captains Niamh McGrath St.Anne’s Camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football Club and Jodie Whelan De La Salle Camogie lost the toss which meant we were playing with the breeze.

We started off at lightening pace. We had a number of goal chances if it not been for the great goalkeeping of Offaly. Waterford took full advantage of the breeze and lead at half time on scoreline 0-13 to 0-02 .

Our second half was equally impressive with all forwards scoring. The goal came from young Mullane De La Salle on 5th minute from a long range free. There was no coming back for Offaly.
